Below the Hiwassee Dam, a day-use park on Apalachia Reservoir provides access to boating, fishing, and exploring the reservoir and its tributaries. Hiwassee Lake is exceptionally beautiful and well suited for canoeing, rafting, and learning the basics of whitewater boating.
