Italian Caffe & Deli

Our favorite place to eat in Murphy, NC is definitely the Italian Caffe & Deli. Piero (Peter) and his lovely wife, Pietra, are originally from Italy, but fortunately for us have settled down here in the Cherokee County, North Carolina Mountains. This is a family run business and their son-in-law, Jack, and their nephew, Marco also work here. You’ll always find their granddaughter, Jayden helping Pietra or her mom, Jackie, in the kitchen too - even though she’s only five. This is a true Italian family business.

This is the display case of the hand made fresh cakes, cheesecake, cannoli and tiramisu...makes your mouth water doesn't it? We always leave the Italian Caffe overly stuffed so we usually get a piece, or maybe two, to take home for the next night.

Everything is made fresh and the red sauce is the best! Their Lunch Buffet that changes daily, but always has a salad bar, soup, vegetable, potato, pasta, three meat dishes, three different pizzas, mini sandwiches and rolls. All that for $6.99 - can you see why it’s so hard to go back to work after a lunch feast like this? You won’t find a better pizza anywhere either.

Doyle's Cedar Hill

Doyle’s Cedar Hill Restaurant is set in an old farm house with separate dining rooms. Doyle’s offers quiet formal dining with a very relaxed feel. They have a casual-formal dining inside for both lunch and dinner and for the outdoor experience the Patio is open for lunch and dinner as well, with live music most nights, and a list of performers you won't want to miss. The huge covered Patio is nestled in the pines with a tiki bar, stage, and kid friendly atmosphere until 9 pm.

On our most recent visit to Doyle’s for lunch of course we always ask to sit out on the porch and always ask for James as our waiter.  We decided to both have on one of the daily specials that Chef and Owner, Doyle Smith, had prepared; hand made Mushroom Alfredo Tortellini on a bed of spinach and a lovely garden side spring salad. I can tell you, it was delicious and wish it was a permanent pasta dish on their extensive menu.

Doyle's is your oasis in the mountains, a place to forget about your worries and experience great tasting food in a carefree and enjoyable setting with friends and family. Harvest on Main

Harvest On Main in Blue Ridge, GA offers the glow from the lodge atmosphere, a setting perfect for casual dining. Here you’ll find a lodge setting right in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge with a roaring fireplace, open kitchen and southern hospitality. You might even be fortunate enough to be there one evening when a special musical guest is performing.

Our favorite restaurant in Hiawassee, GA is Michaelee's Caffe

Looking for an amazing restaurant in the Hiawassee, GA mountains? Well do we have one for you... Michaelee’s Chocolate Caffe is located in beautiful downtown Hiawassee, GA in the Timberlake Village. It’s also right down the street from our Hiawassee Coldwell Banker High Country office - don’t you know we’d love to have lunch a few times a week if we were in that office more, but for now it's quite a treat for us.

Michaelee's Caffe is a full service boutique restaurant with very, and I mean very, generous portions, that also specializes in amazing desserts and espresso based coffee drinks. Gourmet fudge is also made right there with the finest and freshest ingredients. Just look at one of our favorite dishes... Lasagna Napoletano Italiano and a wonderful house salad with focaccia bread. Half of this came home for dinner too, as you can see those generous portions. Well, I might have been able to eat a little more, but had to save room for the delightful desserts. So hard to choose from them all, but today we decided on the Kahlua Toffee Chocolate Mousse Cake.

The dining experience for lunch or dinner is always warm and inviting. This family owned and operated restaurant is a real gem in the downtown Hiawassee, GA area. The Master Chef is Michael Collins, Sous Chef Lenny Collins and the interior was designed by Lisa Collins. Make sure you take some time to stop in and you’ll agree that Michaelee’s will be one of your favorite restaurants too.
